Pianist Kyung-Eun Na has cultivated a multi-faceted career as a performer, educator, opera coach, and
music director.

In the 2019-20 season, Na will be joining the production team of Le Nozze di Figaro as a principal coach/
harpsichordist at Hawaii Opera Theatre, HI. She will also be presented in Artist Lounge Concert Series by Seoul
Arts Center in Korea, directing and performing a cabaret-themed multimedia concert program. In addition to
concert halls, she will also tour to college campuses. The premiere of Paul Salerni’s setting of art songs, Korean
Meal Table will be presented by Lehigh University, PA, in collaboration with Yunah Lee (soprano). She is
returning to her alma mater, Oberlin Conservatory and performing songs of contemporary American
composers with Katherine Jolly (soprano). Her masterclasses and lectures will be featured at the Lehigh in
Seoul, Dankook University, and Sookmyung Women’s University in Seoul, Korea.

Na recently has served as a Visiting Assistant Professor of chamber and collaborative music at the IU Jacobs
School of Music. Prior to her recent position, as an Assistant Professor of Collaborative Arts, she taught at
the University of Arkansas in Little Rock and as an Adjunct Faculty at New York University Steinhardt,
Montclair State University, Seoul Arts High School, and Sungshin Women’s University (Korea).

Before entering academia, she worked at Virginia Opera as a Spectrum Resident Artist Coach and Education
Outreach Tour Manager for the 2008–09 season’s main stage productions, playing for rehearsals, conducting
the off-stage chorus, coaching the cover casts, as well as leading outreach tours to approximately one hundred
public schools in Virginia. She participated as a coach and a pianist in multiple opera productions and
concerts at Ravinia Steans Music Institute, The Soo Opera Theatre Project, Inc., The Juilliard School,
Manhattan School of Music, the Music Academy of the West, Aspen Opera Theater Center, International
Music Academy in Siena (Italy).

Winner of the Marilyn Horne Foundation Competition in 2007, Na participated in recital tour projects and
master classes with emerging singers. Her chamber music credits include collaborations with renowned
soloists such as Matthew Lipman (viola), Jasmine Choi (flute), Soovin Kim (violin) as well as members of the
New York Philharmonic, Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, Los Angeles Opera Orchestra, and Seoul
Philharmonic Orchestra. Her collaborative performances include recital tours and opera gala concerts at
Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Steinway Hall, Town Hall, and Merkin Hall in New York City, as well as at
major venues throughout the United States, South America, Europe, and Asia.

Beyond performing and teaching she directed multiple concerts, and a radio show, The Classical Collection at
TBS English FM in Seoul, Korea. Na is enthusiastic about reaching audiences with limited access to public
performance venues, especially residents of Alzheimer centers, children’s hospitals, and nursing homes. She
served on the board of innovative Bridge (EnoB), a non-profit organization that specializes in providing
outreach concerts for disenfranchised populations. As a Si-Yo Artist™, she has been presented
internationally by the foundation, performing multiple concerts and giving presentations about classical music
for schoolchildren.

Born in Seoul, Korea, Kyung-Eun Na earned her doctorate degree in accompanying from Manhattan School
of Music, master’s degree in collaborative piano from The Juilliard School, artist diploma from Oberlin
Conservatory, and bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from Yonsei University.
