Jiwon Suh

Cellist Jiwon Suh has appeared in recitals, concerts, festivals, and master classes throughout the United States, Europe, and Korea. She has been featured as a soloist with orchestras worldwide, including The Hungary Savaria Symphony Orchestra, Vienna Waltz Orchestra, and Jeju Symphony Orchestra, among others.

As a principal cellist in the Mannes Orchestra and Boston University Symphony Orchestra, Ms. Suh performed in Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and Boston Symphony Hall. A devoted orchestra player and chamber musician, Jiwon has performed with New England Repertory Orchestra, Haffner Sinfonietta, The Boston Cellos, Mannes Baroque Chamber, Mannes New Music Ensemble, Ensemble 212, the New York Soloist Ensemble, and the Ewha Celli, a 24 cello ensemble.

Jiwon holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from the Ewha Woman’s University in Korea. She earned her Masters of Music degree and Professional Studies Diploma from The Mannes College The New School for Music in New York, where she studied with Timothy Eddy. She currently studies with Michael Reynolds at Boston University for her Doctoral degree of Musical Arts. 

Jiwon has been invited to perform in master classse for exceptionally regarded musicians such as Christoph Henkel, Steven Doane, Timothy Eddy, Alison Wells, Paul Katz, Carol Ou, Todd Phillips, Daniel Phillips, Steve Tenenbom, Michael Kannen.

Formal faculty member of Manhasset School of Music, Ms. Suh is currently a cello faculty at Concord Conservatory of Music.
